In this day and age of transparency, of demanding authenticity and exposing inauthenticity, congruency is our calling card. It is no longer enough to “do a good job”: it’s about being an authentic person. This is what we are witnessing in the #MeToo movement and in the latest #CollegeAdmissionsScandal (https://bit.ly/2Wt0MXY). This is also true when someone is going to work for your company, they search Glassdoor to see what is being said about your company. When you are applying to work for a company, the company does a search on you.

A company wants to know you are who you say you are, you are not a risk to the firm and you are a rational, reasonable, professional person. An individual wants to align with an organization that can truly appreciate who they are, where they can be free to express themselves at the office and outside of the office in a forthcoming manner.
We have entered the era where who we are being is just as important as what we are capable of doing. #ThankGoodness
